This QKK Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this “QKK Privacy Policy”) applies to personal information obtained by QIAGEN K.K. (hereinafter referred to as “QKK”).

Apart from this QKK Privacy Policy, QIAGEN Group has established QIAGEN Privacy Policy. This website is managed and operated by the German corporation QIAGEN GmbH, and personal information provided in connection with the use of this website is subject to QIAGEN Privacy Policy, not this QKK Privacy Policy. QKK uses personal information for the following purposes. In this QKK Privacy Policy, “personal information” shall be defined as in Article 2, Paragraph 1, of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

3. Third-Party Provision

(1) QKK will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties, except in the following cases.

  • When the data subject gives a consent
  • When QKK outsources campaigns, questionnaires and prize competitions, distribution of new products and other information, and customer data management to outside vendors.
  • When disclosure is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations

QKK may share personal information with other QIAGEN Group companies.

5. Modifying and Deleting Registered Information

If you wish to correct or delete registered personal information, such request will be complied with as soon as possible. As a security measure, even if the information is deleted or changed in the registration database, the data before the correction or deletion may remain stored in another database of QKK, and it may take some time before the correction or deletion is fully complete. Please note that we may request submission of certain documents to verify your identity.

6. Safety Management Measures

To ensure the safe management of personal data in QKK’s possession, a privacy policy has been established, internal rules formulated, various IT systems to prevent unauthorized access and data leaks implemented, and regular internal audits and employee training are conducted.

QKK processes anonymized employee payroll data and provides it to third parties.
