Although ‘omics technologies have become relatively common, it is often prudent to
perform targeted NGS experiments. Targeted NGS panels help focus on regions of interest, allowing deeper sequencing of those regions for greater sensitivity. The targeted NGS approach allows more samples to be run simultaneously while reducing costs and resources. However, for targeted NGS to be successful, it is crucial to create a well-designed panel with high-quality and informative targets.

If you’re looking to simplify targeted NGS panel design, then join our webinar, where we’ll
discuss the overall panel design process. We’ll also address potential pitfalls and introduce some valuable resources to help you successfully create a targeted NGS panel using the GeneGlobe Design and Analysis Hub.

About the speaker
James Keller, PhD,
QIAGEN
James M. Keller, PhD. received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Evansville, his M.S. and Ph.D. in Biology from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and completed a post doctoral fellowship at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). He joined QIAGEN’s R&D department in 2014, where he created biological content for cataloged arrays and panels, developed resources and methods to aid in future in-house panel development and investigated the potential value of new molecular biology technologies and applications. In 2022, James took on the role of Senior Global Product Manager for GeneGlobe and currently manages most aspects of that platform, including its custom design-related functions.
