Multiomic research, facilitated by next-generation sequencing (NGS), has enabled researchers to understand molecular mechanisms from different sample types and analytes. Integrating genomic data with RNA expression and other ′omics data can lead to a comprehensive and deep understanding of biological processes.

In this webinar, we introduce the QIAseq Multimodal DNA/RNA Library Kit, a multiomic solution for DNA and RNA library preparation from a single sample. The kit offers high flexibility, as it is compatible with most starting materials and can easily be adapted to your preferred sequencing breadth – from WGS/WTS to targeted sequencing.  Moreover, the integration of unique molecular indices (UMIs), rRNA removal and hybrid capture technologies makes the workflow well-suited for a range of applications that warrant examining DNA, RNA or both modalities from a single sample.

About the speaker
Jonathan Shaffer, PhD MBA, Senior Director, Head of Genomics R&D
QIAGEN
Dr. Jonathan Shaffer received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2008. His research focused on determining the mechanisms that regulate non-receptor tyrosine kinase expression and activity. In 2018, he also obtained an MBA from the University of Würzburg, where he conducted research on project management methodologies. Jonathan completed his postdoctoral training at SABiosciences Corporation, which is now part of QIAGEN. He joined QIAGEN in 2009 and has worked with various development groups, with his most recent role involving NGS assay library technologies. He has been instrumental in developing miRNA and gene expression analysis solutions for qPCR and NGS. Currently, Jonathan leads the Genomics R&D team at QIAGEN.
Hélène Bauby, PhD, Senior Global Product Manager
QIAGEN
Dr. Hélène Bauby received her PhD in Molecular Biology from Paris University in 2005. She dedicated 13 years to academic research, studying plant development and HIV molecular mechanisms at the Institut Cochin in Paris and King’s College in London. In 2015, she joined QIAGEN and took on the role of Genomics Sales Specialist, covering Life Science and Molecular Diagnostic segments in France and Belgium. In 2023, she transitioned to the Genomics Product Management team at QIAGEN. Currently, Hélène holds the position of Senior Product Manager for Genomics.
