Product Details

Finding bacterial DNA in cultured blood, fecal and cervical swabs is fast and efficient with the QIAamp BiOstic Bacteremia DNA Kit. Remove inhibitors common in blood, swabs and culture medium using QIAGEN’s Inhibitor Removal Technology. Combined with mechanical bead beating lysis, the QIAamp BiOstic Bacteremia DNA Kit isolates pure genomic DNA that is free of inhibitors, such as charcoal used for antibiotic removal, that make bacterial genotyping of cultured blood difficult. Resulting DNA is ready to use in bacterial genotyping assays including next-generation sequencing, Sanger sequencing, Bacterial Barcodes rep-PCR, qPCR assays and multiplex PCR.
The QIAamp BiOstic Bacteremia DNA Kit was previously sold by MO BIO as the BiOstic Bacteremia DNA Kit.
