What to do if I get error 29 (Backup memory on the CPU is destroyed) on my EZ1 instrument?

Do not remove protocol cards from the instrument while the instrument is switched on.

If the error 29 occurred on a BioRobot EZ1, you will need to clear the protocol memory and perform teaching. For instructions and teaching data sheet, contact QIAGEN Technical Service.

If the error 29 occurs on an EZ1 Advanced or an EZ1 Advanced XL, restart the instrument. The error should clear. If the error persists, contact QIAGEN Technical Service to obtain teaching instructions and teaching data sheet for your instrument.
