Product Details

The ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits are in vitro molecular diagnostic kits for real-time PCR on the Rotor-Gene Q and other real-time PCR instruments. The kits provide reagents optimized for reliable and sensitive detection, and qualitative or semi-quantitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation in genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood of subjects with suspected myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN).

Performance

To ensure highest accuracy, ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits have been optimized to detect the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation and use DNA positive and negative controls for qualitative analysis (see figures  Representative allelic discrimination experiments for qualitative detection of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation in genomic DNA and  Representative allelic discrimination experiments for semi-quantitative detection of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation in genomic DNA). ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits provide a DNA 2% cut-off sample (COS) positivity and a minimum of 25 ng of input sample DNA is recommended.

Principle

ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits are ready-to-use kits for the detection, qualitative, or semi-quantitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T somatic mutation due to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood of subjects with suspected myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) (see figure  JAK2 mutation site identification) . The kits provide highly reliable and reproducible results. ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits and the ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen EZ Kit provide a DNA cut-off sample (COS), a DNA positive control (PC), and a negative control (NC) for JAK2 V617F. Use of the cut-off sample and controls enables accurate qualitative analysis of genotyping results. The ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen EZ Kit also includes real-time PCR master mix. The ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen RS Kit provides a V617F reference scale.
See figures

Procedure

The first step is extraction and determination of quality and quantity of genomic DNA. The second step is the amplification of DNA by real-time PCR. Using the ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits provide reliable detection, qualitative, or semi-quantitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation. Simply start the reaction using the optimized protocols described in the kit handbook.

Applications

ipsogen JAK2 MutaScreen Kits enable accurate and reliable detection, qualitative, or semi-quantitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation for in vitro diagnostic use.
