What is the principle behind the DNA Polymerase in the EpiTect MSP Kit?

HotStart Taq d-Tect of the EpiTect MSP Kit is a genetically engineered Taq DNA-Polymerase. Generation of an amplicon using Taq d-Tect Polymerase needs perfect primer match on the 3'end. This allows discrimination of single-base mismatches during primer annealing and extension.
