What should I use to isolate total RNA from plant tissues and what is the maximum recommended amount of tissue input?

A supplementary miRNeasy Mini Kit protocol to isolate total RNA, including small RNAs, from plant tissues is available in Appendix A of the miScript qPCR System Handbook. The maximum recommended amount of plant tissue input is 50 mg.
