What happens if a tissue sample larger than 20 x 20 x 20 mm is used for fixation with the PAXgene Tissue FIX Container (50 ml)?

PAXgene Tissue FIX must rapidly penetrate the sample to quickly reach an effective concentration that stops all enzymatic activity throughout the tissue. If a sample is too large or surrounded by fat or capsule, fast and even penetration is compromised, possibly resulting in a reduction in the quality of tissue morphology and the integrity of nucleic acids.
