How can proteins purified from PAXgene Tissue fixed, paraffin-embedded (PFPE) tissue be analyzed?

Nondegraded and immunoreactive proteins can be purified from PFPE. See PAXgene Tissue Resources for supplementary protocols. Proteins from PFPE have been successfully investigated by western blot analysis, reverse-phase protein arrays, two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2D-PAGE), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detecting denatured proteins, and MALDI imaging mass spectrometry.
