Why do pQE-T7 vectors of the QIAgenes E. coli system have an additional UAG amber stop codon?

The additional UAG amber stop codon of the QIAgene E. coli pQE-T7 vectors allows insertion of a biotin at this codon using the EasyXpress Site-Specific Biotin Kit.
