ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit

The ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures. The kit is for real-time PCR on the Rotor-Gene Q and other real-time PCR instruments. The kit provides reagents optimized for sensitive and reliable detection and qualitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation in genomic DNA.

To ensure highest sensitivity, the ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit has been optimized to detect the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation and uses a DNA cut-off sample with 1% (COS) positivity and DNA positive and negative controls for qualitative analysis (see figures  Accurate detection of JAK2 V617F mutation, 1% cut-off sample, and positive and negative controls and  Reliable detection of wild-type JAK2, 1% cut-off sample, and positive and negative controls). A minimum of 25 ng of input sample DNA is recommended.

The ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit is a ready-to-use kit for the detection and qualitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T somatic mutation due to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in genomic DNA (see figure  JAK2 mutation site identification). The kit provides high levels of sensitivity and reproducibility. The ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit provides a DNA cut-off sample (COS), a positive control (PC), and a negative control (NC) for JAK2 V617F. Use of the cut-off sample and controls enables accurate qualitative analysis of genotyping results.

The first step is extraction and determination of quality and quantity of genomic DNA. The second step is the amplification of DNA by real-time PCR. Using the ipsogen JAK2 MutaSearch Kit provides sensitive detection and qualitative analysis of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation.
