To ensure highest sensitivity, the ipsogen JAK2 MutaQuant Kit has been optimized to detect the JAK2 V617F/G1849T mutation and uses prediluted plasmid standards and primers and probe mixes (see figures Accurate detection of JAK2 V617F plasmid standards and Reliable detection of JAK2 wild-type plasmid standards). The sensitivity has a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.061%. This optimal sensitivity can be obtained on specimens containing at least 10,000 copies of the JAK2 gene (wild-type and V617F mutation).
The ipsogen JAK2 MutaQuant Kits is a ready-to-use kit for the detection and quantification of the JAK2 V617F/G1849T somatic mutation due to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in genomic DNA extracted from peripheral blood of subjects with suspected myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) (see figure JAK2 mutation site identification). The kit provides high levels of sensitivity and reproducibility. The ipsogen JAK2 MutaQuant Kit provides 4 plasmid standard dilutions for mutant JAK2 V617F and 4 for the wild-type JAK2 allele. Use of the standards enables accurate quantification of transcripts. Results are expressed as a percent of JAK2 V617F in total JAK2.
