Tissue Homogenizer for Sample Disruption and Lysis

Tissue homogenization and lysis for every sample type

The success of your DNA and RNA analysis depends, first and foremost, on the quality of your tissue homogenizer and sample disruption process. If your sample homogenizer allows quick, thorough, and reliable release of intercellular components, then all your downstream processes are better off in terms of yield, analytical sensitivity, and reduced biases.

Whatever sample type or throughput you work with, there is a QIAGEN sample homogenizer to meet your needs. We have a small footprint low-throughput rotor-stator homogenizer and low- to medium-throughput bead mill homogenizer, as well as high-throughput bead mill homogenizer with programmable protocols and custom program cycles. These tissue disruptor instruments were designed for effectivity and versatility, and speed, because a reliable sample homogenizer is essential for successful downstream DNA or RNA analysis.

TissueLyser II vs TissueLyser III

While the TissueLyser II has been a trusted instrument for high- throughput sample disruption for many years, it has now been discontinued. It's successor, the TissueLyser III, offers the same reliable performance with enhanced features designated to meet the evolving needs of today's laboratories.

The TissueLyser III features an intuitive touch screen to make it easier to choose and run disruption protocols. Unlike the TissueLyser II wherein protocols are manually set, the TissueLyser III features pre-programmed protocols and customizable program cycles to conveniently set disruption parameters. Lastly, the TissueLyser III offers an arsenal of adapters and accessories, including a 50-ml Tube Adapter Set that enables processing of large sample volumes previously not possible with the TissueLyser II.
