Empty and dry the system the day before the upgrade according to chapter 6.2.3 of the User Manual (Preparing the GeneReader fluidics lines for long-term storage).
Make sure that all sequencing run result data was transferred to QCI Analyze or GeneRead Link successfully.
When using GeneRead Link make sure all samples are “finally released”. For this upgrade, no pending samples are allowed in the workflow. If you are connected to a LIMS system, double-check that GeneRead Link has sent the results back to LIMS (i.e. does not show an error icon in the environment bar).
QCI Analyze
Make sure that no analyses are in the “Planned” or “In progress” state.
If the GeneReader Planner has been used for creating flow cell plans, be aware that, after the upgrade, you might not be able to load flow cell plans created before the upgrade.
If your version of QCI Analyze is 1.1 or earlier, make sure to upload all analyzed samples in the SIGNED OFF state to QCI Interpret before the upgrade. All samples in the SIGNED OFF state that have not yet been uploaded to QCI Interpret cannot be uploaded to QCI Interpret using the built-in uploader in QCI Analyze after the upgrade. Such samples can be uploaded using the QCI Interpret manual uploader instead.
