Performance
The 8 ready-to-use GelPilot markers cover a wide range of fragment sizes guaranteeing an ideal format for every requirement (see figure "Clearly arranged markers"). The DNA fragments in each marker are designed to be easy to remember for fast and accurate DNA sizing. In addition, each marker contains a single intensive band making it simple to determine the DNA size.
Principle
Ready-to-load buffer

GelPilot markers are provided ready to load in gel loading buffer. The unique buffer contains 3 tracking dyes (xylene cyanol, bromophenol blue, and orange G) to facilitate the optimization of agarose gel run time (see figure "GelPilot Loading Buffer"). No additional reagents or dilution steps are required – simply load and run.

Defined band intensities

To help quantify sample DNA, each GelPilot Molecular Weight Marker consists of standard and intensive DNA fragments. Standard DNA fragments consist of 50 ng DNA, while intensive fragments contain 100 ng DNA (when using 6 µl of marker).

Procedure

Simply mix the ladder gently by pipetting up and down a few times and load 6 µl into the required number of gel lanes.
